Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist/HRBP is responsible for providing human resources support to assigned facility or client group. This includes providing support to facility/client groups (typically interface with plant managers, department managers and below, including the hourly production colleagues) regarding employee relations issues, salary administration, performance management, organizational effectiveness, recruitment, compensation, and talent management.? Provide support to the Manager of Human Resources in communicating, delivering and influencing human resources strategies and procedures.? Support operational and tactical issues for assigned client group.? May train and supervise other Human Resource Associates and colleagues.??

Specific Accountabilities

  • Effectively work with line management in planning for and meeting business goals and objectives including all HR processes, programs and initiatives. Demonstrate ability to understand how the business/client groups operate at a fundamental level and partner with other HR team members to implement these solutions.

  • The HR Generalist/HRBP role has four equally important facets: strategic partnership, employee advocate, change agent, and administration expert.

  • Supervises job placement program, transfers, hiring, and related activities.

  • Assist in building facility capability and bench strength, ensuring the right people are in the right jobs. Working closely with the operations team, ensure training and development of the production workforce is occurring. Facilitate facility in talent reviews, succession planning reviews, calibration reviews and performance management where appropriate. Promote the Company competency models, and performance management process.

  • Ensure legal compliance and mitigate the Company?s risk through having a basic understanding of most relevant employment laws and follow agreed processes. May track/monitor necessary information related to AA/EEO/ etc.

  • Supports implementation of HR strategies and initiatives in partnership with Human Resource Manager or Director of Human Resources to develop structure, business processes, performance systems, solutions and metrics to enable the assigned client groups to execute and achieve the business targets.

  • Serves as a change agent and consultant to facility/client groups in support of the Company?s vision, mission, values, culture and strategy. Supports facility leadership and plant colleagues in partnership with Human Resources Manager/Director to ensure efficient and effective organizational transition. Partner with Talent Management and Rewards to deliver against key objectives and initiatives that build capability.

  • Support Director of Human Resources in providing location specific insights to help the Center of Excellence team at Headquarters align overall strategies with location/client groups specific requirements.

  • Partner with Plant Manager on organizational effectiveness initiatives supporting the identification of organizational redundancies, establishing clear processes and communication.

  • Promotes the role of Human Resources and enhances the credibility of the function; work collaboratively with Human Resource team members to proactively share best practices and processes.

  • Other duties as assigned by Manager, Human Resources and/or Plant Manager.




Required Skills and Experience

  • BS or BA In Human Resources, Business?from an accredited university or another related field

  • 3+ years of functional Human Resources and business partnership experience

  • 2+ years knowledge of federal, state and local laws as they pertain to HR practices.

  • Strong interpersonal communication, facilitation skills and presentation skills

  • Fluent English




Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Human Resources Certification

  • Experience working in HR in a manufacturing environment

  • Reports to Director of Human Resources with strong dotted line to the facility Plant Manager. Key relationships internally will include facility leadership team and Human Resources.

    Work Environment


  • Located in Plant location in a manufacturing environment.

  • Travel Requirements (10% or less).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
